About the role

The successful candidate will lead the Music department while delivering high-quality lessons and developing a vibrant musical culture across the school.

The role will involve:

• Leading and developing the Music department

• Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4

• Planning and delivering an engaging Music curriculum including performance, composition, and theory

• Organising concerts, performances, and school productions

• Supporting extracurricular music opportunities such as choirs and ensembles

• Monitoring student progress and maintaining strong academic outcomes

The ideal candidate

• Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in Music

• Experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4

• Leadership experience or readiness to lead a department
