Key Responsibilities for the Head of Music include:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Music department.


• Design and implement an inclusive, innovative Music curriculum.


• Monitor student progress and achievement in Music, setting high standards of attainment.


• Foster strong links with local musical institutions, community groups, and external partners.


• Lead CPD for Music staff, encouraging continuous professional growth.


• Oversee and manage Music resources, including instruments and technology.

We Require a Head of Music who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Has proven leadership experience in Music education.


• Holds a degree in Music or a related subject.


• Possesses strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.


• Is passionate about Music and ensuring all students succeed in their musical education.
