This leading Global Bank, with a longstanding history in London and a strong global presence. Providing a range of regulated financial products and banking services to its UK and International client base (including individual, corporate and financial institutions clients). Seeking an individual who wants to ingrain themselves into the business and collaborate with all other departments to implement the operational risk management framework.

Your new role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to take on the critical role of Head of Operational Risk, developing and maintaining the bank's operational risk and resilience against emerging risks while fostering a robust risk culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the operational risk strategy, frameworks, and governance across the wholesale banking division.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Partner with business leaders to embed a risk-aware culture while providing expert guidance on risk exposure and mitigation.
• Oversee risk assessments, incident management, and business continuity planning.
• Engage with regulators, auditors, and key stakeholders to ensure transparent and effective risk reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational risk controls and frameworks to meet evolving market demands.

What We're Looking For:

• Extensive experience in operational risk management within wholesale banking.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and governance best practices.
• Ability to lead, influence, and drive cultural change across the business.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
