Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor, who are currently recruiting for a Head of Operations at their site in Newhaven, East Sussex. As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for managing and developing the busy operations teams across both Warehouse and Transport.
With c5 Direct Reports and c50 FTEs on site, as Head of Operations (Warehouse, Stock and Transport) you will be responsible for:
Manage the depot management team to drive operational efficiencies, customer service and productivity in order to deliver a profitable service to customers and meet KPIs
Demonstrate the expected behaviours and standards of a people leader to recruit, engage and develop the capability of our people and generate the right high performance culture for our business.
Support and work with the sales teams in order to ensure the development and retention of accounts and maximise the commercial opportunities availableby visiting key accounts to build good relationships so that the customer always has someone operationally to go to get a quick fix
To optimise activity within operational teams ensuring and manage all KPI related in transport and warehouse departments
Ensure all H&S, Legal Compliance of the depot is adhered to
Ensure that the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation is fully supported at site level.
The Ideal Candidate for Head of Operations (Warehouse and

Transport):
From a similar Operation, you will have successfully managed and led Warehouse and Transport operations within a FMCG environment.
Commercially astute, you will have a sharp eye for optimization of costs as well as a track record in customer service.
Well versed in the management of all core Operational and Logistics KPIs, you will be passionate

about Customer Service and the delivery of excellent service.
Moreover, you will be able to demonstrate exceptional operational efficiencies and improvements through CI / project management.
