Head of Operations & Logistics

As Head of Operations & Logistics, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain operation. From managing a busy warehouse and outbound logistics to leading high-performing teams and driving strategic projects, your mission is to deliver operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and scaleable growth

You'll work closely with senior leadership to align operations with commercial goals, ensure OTIF delivery performance, and champion continuous improvement across people, processes, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across warehousing, order fulfilment, and transport
• Manage 3rd-party carrier relationships and ensure cost-effective, reliable distribution
• Drive warehouse performance (KPIs, stock accuracy, productivity, safety, etc.)
• Lead and develop teams, creating a strong culture of accountability and engagement
• Implement CI/lean initiatives to optimise efficiency, cost, and quality
• Oversee operational planning including inventory, labour, and peak management
• Deliver strategic projects including automation, new technology, and WMS upgrades
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless operations
• Report on operational metrics, risks, and improvement initiatives to the board

We're looking for an operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and knows how to scale logistics for efficiency and service. You are data-driven, commercially aware, and a hands-on leader.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in an operational leadership role within logistics, distribution or FMCG
• Strong background in warehouse management and carrier performance
• Experience leading large teams, ideally in multi-site or high-volume operations
• Continuous Improvement mindset - Lean/Six Sigma knowledge a strong plus
• Experience with operational technology (WMS, automation, transport systems)
• Strong planning and project management capability
• Collaborative, pragmatic and focused on results
