Location: Derby
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Hybrid Working: 3 days office / 2 days remote

Are you an experienced payroll professional with a track record in system implementation and process improvement? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume payroll function within a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organisation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be pivotal in supporting a large-scale payroll operation through a period of significant change and growth. Alongside day-to-day payroll responsibilities, you'll be instrumental in driving the successful implementation of a new HR and payroll system, onboarding new acquisitions, and embedding robust processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support payroll system implementation and process improvements.

• Manage the onboarding of payrolls following business acquisitions.

• Prepare and process monthly payroll data

• Ensure compliance and accuracy across payroll and HR processes.

• Collaborate with managers across multiple sites to resolve payroll queries.

• Manage starters, leavers, and payroll adjustments (sickness, leave, maternity, etc.).

• Conduct post-payroll accuracy checks and set up salary payments.

• Provide reporting and journal entries to the finance team.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in payroll implementation, compliance, and process management.

• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge

• High-level Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, with strong MS Office proficiency.

• Ability to manage and set up bank payments
