Head of PE required for an amazing school in Westminster- September start

We are in search of a motivational leader who has a zeal for encouraging healthy living, instilling a passion for physical activities, and developing students' sense of sportsmanship and collaboration. In the role of Head of PE, your responsibilities will include leading the PE department, crafting the curriculum, coaching school teams, and coordinating sports events and competitions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the PE department, providing strategic vision and direction


• Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum


• Organize and oversee school sporting events, competitions, and extracurricular activities


• Coach school sports teams and encourage student participation


• Evaluate and assess student performance in PE


• Collaborate with other departments to integrate physical activity into the school curriculum


• Maintain and manage sports equipment and facilities

Requirements

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


• Specialization in Physical Education or a related field


• Proven experience teaching PE, preferably in a leadership role


• Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles


• Excellent knowledge of sports and physical education programs


• Strong leadership and management skills


• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities


• Experience in organizing sporting events and competitions


• Ability to coach school sports teams


• Commitment to student achievement and holistic development
