Casanovas Recruitment is working with a confidential education and skills provider to appoint a Head of Plumbing & Heating.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Plumbing & Heating professional with a background in education or training to take the lead on a well-established and varied area of provision.

You’ll have responsibility for shaping and developing the curriculum across full-time courses, apprenticeships and adult learning, while leading a team and building strong relationships with employers and industry.

The Role

As Head of Plumbing & Heating, you’ll lead provision from Entry Level through to Level 3, alongside apprenticeships and adult learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading and developing the Plumbing & Heating curriculum

* Managing, supporting and developing staff

* Driving quality, learner outcomes and performance

* Monitoring attendance, retention, progress and achievement

* Overseeing assessment, verification and quality assurance

* Developing employer and industry partnerships

* Managing curriculum planning, timetabling, resources and budgets

* Supporting commercial activity and future growth

* Ensuring high standards of health & safety, safeguarding and compliance

* Teaching where required

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong industry knowledge and the ability to lead people effectively.

You’ll ideally have experience within further education, training or the skills sector and understand the challenges of delivering high-quality technical and vocational provision.

Preferable / essential:

* Degree or relevant professional qualification

* Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent

* Strong Plumbing & Heating industry knowledge

* Experience of curriculum and team management

* Strong communication, organisation and data analysis skills

Desirable:

* Management qualification

* Assessor and/or IQA qualification

* Experience of apprenticeships and adult learning

* Membership of a relevant professional body
