Head of Practice Standards & Compliance 📍 Location: Kettering | 🕒 Full-Time, Permanent
Are you a proactive leader with a passion for quality, compliance, and continuous improvement? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing national practice as part of the Shared Services Senior Management Team, where you'll play a key role in shaping business operations while ensuring the highest standards of quality, environmental management, and health & safety are maintained across the organisation.
Working closely with senior leadership and supporting teams across seven UK offices, you'll lead the Practice Standards Team, oversee crucial compliance frameworks, and drive initiatives that support the continued success and growth of the business.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop the Practice Standards Team. Mentor and support the Bid and Marketing teams. Oversee the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Coordinate and facilitate annual IMS reviews across the business. Organise and support both internal and external audits. Manage supplier approvals and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs). Review, update and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and standard practice templates. Administer and develop the company intranet using Microsoft SharePoint. Manage accreditation and certification renewals, including Constructionline and RIBA memberships. Monitor, track and report on social value initiatives and contributions. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and best practice throughout the organisation.
🔍 What We're Looking For
You'll be a confident and influential leader with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll enjoy working collaboratively across departments and be passionate about maintaining high standards across all areas of the business.
Essential:
Previous experience leading and managing teams. Strong knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS). Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety frameworks. Experience managing ISO accreditations and compliance processes. Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills. Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Educated to Level 3 (A-Level or equivalent).
🌟 Desirable
Experience using Microsoft SharePoint. Previous responsibility for industry accreditations and certification frameworks. Experience within architecture, engineering, consultancy, or professional services environments. Knowledge of Constructionline, RIBA, or similar accreditation schemes.
