Head of Private Client – Billericay, Essex
Salary: Up to £60,000 (Negotiable, DOE)
Location: Office-based (Full-time), with home working considered after probation

I’m working closely with a highly regarded, well-established law firm based in Billericay, Essex, who are seeking to appoint a talented and experienced Head of Private Client to lead their thriving team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior private client solicitor who’s looking to step into a leadership role, or someone already managing a team and seeking a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking and supportive firm.
The Role: As Head of Department, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing a broad caseload of private client matters including:

• Wills, probate, and estate administration
• Inheritance tax planning
• Trusts and estate planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters

You will also play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior team members, ensuring compliance and excellent service standards, and contributing to the strategic growth of the department.
About You: The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified Solicitor with significant experience in private client law
• Confident managing a varied caseload independently
• Comfortable in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Strong on client care and able to develop and maintain trusted client relationships
• Commercially minded, with a proactive approach to business development and growing the department
