Head of Procurement

Location: Reigate, Surrey

Join a leading food sector business as Head of Procurement, overseeing global supplier relationships and the full procurement lifecycle. This senior leadership role is key to sourcing, negotiating, and managing purchasing operations aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source products to meet customer specs, balancing price, lead-time, and quality.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in line with ethical sourcing policies.
  • Support quality control, logistics, and customs processes.
  • Manage tenders and provide pricing/data to Sales & Marketing.
  • Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and Operations to meet delivery and stock targets.
  • Research, negotiate, and onboard new suppliers.
  • Understand customer needs and brand requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in strategic procurement and supplier relationship management.
  • Tenacious, commercially savvy, and a strong negotiator.
  • Skilled in time management, communication, and organisation.
  • Strong team management and development skills.
  • Expertise in international shipping and customs is a plus.
