In order to aid continued growth they're looking to appoint for a brand new role, someone to head up and lead their Procurement function - a Head of Procurement.
With a spend of over £50m it is large enough to have a real impact on business performance but small enough to wrap your arms around it. The role reports directly to the board and, as such, you would have real autonomy in your day-to-day activity, namely:
Maintaining, building and developing relationships with existing and new suppliers
Looking at existing processes and systems and building business cases for reviewing, changing and implementing as appropriate
Adding true measurable value to the P & L
Working closely with other teams internally (ops, marketing etc) ensuring Purchasing is considered in all decisions across the business
Leading supplier reviews, tendering and contract negotiation
You will come from an FMCG, retail, or hospitality background with significant experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Buying or broad Commercial roles. You will be strong commercially and a great negotiator; driven and someone that can communication both upwards, across and down.
