Job Description - Head of Product (Tour Development Team Head)

About the Role
Expat Explore is a key brand in the Touraxis stable. As the Head of Product, you will be responsible for managing the dynamic team of creatives responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing our tour offerings across key destinations. You will work closely with suppliers, travel partners, and internal teams to create innovative, high-quality, and market-leading travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine Expat Explore’s tour portfolio and optional excursions to meet evolving customer expectations and industry trends.
Monitor tour performance metrics and adjust offerings accordingly
Lead and manage the product development team, driving creativity and excellence.
Research and develop new tour products based on market trends and customer demand.
Establish partnerships with local and international suppliers.
Ensure all tours meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
Oversee pricing strategies, profitability, and commercial performance.
Work with Procurement to set budgets for accommodation, meals and activities
Manage expenditure to ensure alignment with the company’s profitability targets
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to maximize tour success.
Ensure seamless handover of new and optimised tours to Operations to minimise disruptions and ensure quality execution.
Monitor customer feedback and continuously refine offerings.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and innovation.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Set clear Key Performance Indicators for the team, ensuring progress is tracked and objectives are met.
About You
Proven experience in tour development, travel product management, or a similar role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
A data driven mindset and strongly developed commercial acumen
Commercial acumen with experience in pricing and revenue management.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
A customer centric approach to product innovation
Required key skills and competencies
A minimum of 5 years of travel and tourism experience in product management, travel product development, pricing or operations
Proven ability to balance commercial targets with customer experience
Strong experience with data analysis,
