Head of Proposition

Role Title: Head of Proposition (Adviser Experience)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

As Head of Proposition (Adviser), you will lead Royal London’s adviser proposition and experience across UK products and propositions. You will shape and deliver the overall strategy and direction set by the Lifestage teams, creating consistent, adviser-focused journeys across relevant propositions. You will also manage the impact of change to ensure propositions remain efficient, joined up and consistent across life stages and products.

This role is central to driving operational excellence and making it easier and more efficient for advisers to work with Royal London. You will work in partnership with advisers, helping them grow their businesses and deliver value to their clients. Using data-driven insight and digital automation, you will reduce risk and cost while improving performance. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to align delivery with business goals and champion continuous improvement. Your remit will include oversight of adviser touchpoints, performance measures, adviser systems integration, and the development of specialist products and solutions, with strong governance, transformation and strategic planning guided by Consumer Duty.

You will also help develop future capabilities by working with internal and external third parties. This leadership role requires strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

About the role

• Provide proposition design and delivery expertise


• Develop, prioritise and manage the proposition roadmap


• Manage budgets and optimise resource allocation to deliver agreed outcomes


• Support the smooth introduction of new adviser services, ensuring alignment across all business areas


• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations


• Owning the risks faced by the adviser proposition ensuring operation within risk appetite.

About you

• Excellent communicator who can create partnership relationships with all business functions


• Ability to influence at a senior level, based on solid understanding of propositions, strategy and business direction.


• Strong expertise of relevant proposition, process and markets and up to date knowledge of the financial services industry and how different types of advisers operate within this


• Experience in managing proposition development, governance and conduct risk within the legislative / regulatory framework


• Commercially astute with the ability to understand and be innovative in the approach to managing budgets and risk framework


• Strong leadership skills, inspiring teams to work collaboratively and creatively to meet ambition.
