Head of Rents & Service Charge | Bolton at Home | Permanent | Hybrid Working

Castlefield are partnering exclusively with Bolton at Home (c.19,000 units) to recruit a Head of Rents & Service Charges in a newly created role. It’s a really exciting time to join the organisation and they’re keen to find someone passionate about this area of Finance to join them on a permanent basis.

The Head of Rents and Service Charges will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Rent and Service Charge functions for the organisation. The role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and viability of the Bolton at Home Group, while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

This position offers some great benefits including a salary of between £59,305 - £67,894 and hybrid working (1 day a week in the office).

Responsibilities include;

• Strategically deliver a high quality, customer focused service, ensuring value for money and meeting business objectives.
• Support the negotiation of new contracts and service levels in line with strategic aims and budget requirements.
• Organisational lead for rents and service charges including compliance with rent standard and energy procurement.                     
• Ensure that the Rent and Service charges team partner with budget holders to provide an excellent customer focused professional service to tenants and leaseholders.
• Embed sound financial processes, principles and practices across the business and included within the management of current and planned services and projects.
• Responsible for the annual rent increase process, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, policy and best practice. Proactively manage the process of setting rent and service charge for new and existing tenants.
• Maintain robust controls and processes to ensure substantial reassurance from the auditors.
• Strategic liaison with internal and external stakeholders/partners including Bolton Council, internal audit of own areas, leading key elements of the external audit, housing benefit etc.
