Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a charitable organisation based in Rotherham to recruit a Head of Maintenance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader to join a values-driven organisation and play a key role in shaping and delivering their property maintenance strategy.

Working as a part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Maintenance will lead a team of 35 staff, taking overall responsibility for the effective delivery of responsive and planned maintenance across the organisation’s property portfolio and ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered to a high standard, within budget, and fully compliant with health and safety regulations.

• Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies across all sites
• Lead and manage the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance programmes
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety and building regulations
• Work collaboratively with other departments, including Asset Management and Housing Services
• Manage and monitor budgets related to maintenance, repairs, and compliance
• Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for cost-efficiency
• Inspire, support and develop the maintenance team to deliver exceptional performance

• Significant experience in a senior maintenance or repairs leadership role, ideally within the housing or not-for-profit sectors
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and health & safety legislation
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Strong financial and budget management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work under pressure
• A Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites as required
