Head of Risk, Recoveries and Litigation - Asset Finance

North West - hybrid

c.£80,000 to £100,000 per annum plus benefits package

Our client is a major provider of innovative asset finance solutions to the UK SME community.

As it continues to expand, it is keen to appoint an experienced risk, recoveries and litigation professional to establish and manage an effective in-house recoveries and litigation function.

The Role:

• Take ownership of litigious and larger value / complex legal cases to maximise the potential of a successful outcome and minimise potential losses.
• Undertaking the preparatory work for legal cases.
• Regularly interacting with external lawyers.
• Registering of charges.
• Effectively handling complex asset disposal cases.
• Reviewing and managing the Solicitors Panel.
• Undertaking the periodic review of asset finance / legal documentation.
• Undertaking the preparatory work for procurement contracts.
• Keeping abreast of the latest knowledge of asset finance legislation.
• Establishing a high-performing internal litigation function.

The Candidate:

We are keen to receive applications and enquiries from experienced risk, recoveries and litigation professionals who have had some experience of working in the business finance / asset finance / commercial lending sector. This maybe someone who is working for an asset finance or leasing company or possibly for a law firm specialising in asset finance litigation / documentation.
