Head of Sales - Aftermarket Parts

Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading aftermarket automotive parts supplier to bring you this exciting Head of Sales position based in Clay Cross and around the East Midlands. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established and ambitious business where you will lead a high-performing sales function, develop strategic customer relationships and drive continued commercial growth. Working Monday to Friday based on a 42.5 hour contract, you will receive a starting basic salary of £48,000k and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Duties Include:

• Lead, motivate and develop the national sales team to achieve and exceed company sales targets.


• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across trade, fleet and independent garage customers.


• Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.


• Identify new business opportunities and emerging markets to increase market share.


• Analyse sales performance, market trends and competitor activity, implementing strategies to maximise commercial opportunities.


• Set individual and team KPIs, providing regular coaching, mentoring and performance reviews.


• Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop business strategy and support company growth objectives.


• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Purchasing departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.


• Prepare and present detailed sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports.


• Attend customer meetings, industry exhibitions and networking events, representing the business professionally.


• Drive a high-performance sales culture through continuous improvement, accountability and employee development.


• Ensure all sales activities are carried out in line with company policies and commercial objectives.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a Head of Sales, Sales Director, Regional Sales Manager or senior commercial leadership role.


• Strong background within the automotive aftermarket, automotive parts distribution or motor factor industry.


• Proven track record of delivering sustained sales growth and leading successful sales teams.


• Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.


• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify new business opportunities.


• Exceptional negotiation, presentation and relationship-building abilities.


• Experience analysing sales data, forecasting and implementing strategic business plans.


• Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.


• Willingness to travel nationally when required.


• Full UK Driving Licence.
