A unique opportunity has arisen for a Head of School to lead and develop a specialist alternative provision setting in the Wolverhampton. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone with a proven track record of raising standards, building positive culture, and managing both people and performance effectively.

This is a specialist education setting offering high-quality alternative provision for pupils aged 11-16, many of whom have social, emotional, or behavioural needs. The school aims to provide a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive and re-engage with education. The classes are small (4-6 pupils) with a number of teachers and support in each class and a total of 30 students within the school.

? The Role
As Head of School, you will:
* Lead and inspire staff in delivering high-quality education and pastoral support
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, SEND, curriculum, and behaviour standards
* Oversee day-to-day operations and quality assurance
* Collaborate with senior leaders and external agencies to improve outcomes
* Drive pupil engagement, attendance, and personal development
This is an ideal position for a current Deputy Head, Assistant Headteacher or experienced Middle Leader seeking to step up into a senior leadership position in an impactful, student-centred environment.

? Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
* Strong leadership experience within a secondary or specialist school environment
* Understanding of safeguarding and statutory education responsibilities
* Ability to lead on teaching and learning, behaviour, and staff performance
* Experience working with vulnerable pupils or those with SEND is desirable
