We are seeking a committed individual with a specialism in either Biology or Chemistry to lead our vibrant Science Department. The Role:

As Head of Science, you will:

• Lead and manage the Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
• Develop and implement a broad and engaging curriculum in line with national standards
• Inspire and motivate both students and staff to achieve academic excellence
• Oversee the delivery of Biology or Chemistry, ensuring lessons are engaging and innovative
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development and education and training within the department
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary
• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive whole-school initiatives

• A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in Biology or Chemistry
• Proven leadership experience, either as a Head of Science or in a middle management role
• A passion for science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively
• A commitment to high standards in education and training
• A strategic thinker with a vision for the future of science education
• Live in or be able to reliably commute to Brent
