About the Role

An Outstanding secondary school in Harrow is seeking a strategic Head of Science Teacher to lead their science department from September. The role involves overseeing the delivery of engaging science lessons, managing laboratory resources, and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry. We are looking for a skilled Head of Science Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive science curriculum.


• Manage and maintain laboratory resources and equipment.


• Ensure the delivery of high-quality science lessons across all key stages.


• Lead and mentor other science teachers. We require a Head of Science Teacher who can perform these tasks.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.


• Organise and lead science-related extracurricular activities.


• Promote a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science.


• Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level.


• Strong leadership and management skills.


• Excellent organisational and communication skills. We need an experienced Head of Science Teacher for this position.
