Let's be honest, setting up a brand-new shared services centre isn't for everyone.

There's no playbook. No comfy chair left warm by your predecessor. You'll be the person who builds the processes, hires and shapes the team, and figures out what works, and more importantly, what doesn't.

We're looking for a Head of Shared Services who actually likes that idea and is up for a relocation to Malta.

The Head of Shared Services will set up and run a new centre handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. That means:

• Designing workflows that make sense (not just cutting and pasting from your last job)
• Recruiting, managing, and motivating a team (no corporate buzzwords about 'nurturing talent' - just build a team people want to work in)
• Keeping the numbers (and the auditors) happy
• Working closely with Group Finance to make sure everyone's singing from the same hymn sheet (even if you don't like hymns)

What you'll need:

• Experience setting up, leading or transforming a finance shared services team (AP/AR essential).
• The ability to think like a project manager, a people leader, and sometimes a therapist - often all at once.
• The guts to make decisions, not just PowerPoints.
• Ideally, a relevant finance qualification, but honestly, your track record matters more than your certificates
