Job Description - Head of Strategic Asset Investment

Head of Strategic Asset Investment Based in the Exeter, Bristol or Camborne office (with hybrid working and travel across the region to attend meetings) The Company Now is an exciting time to join LiveWest, the largest housing provider in the South-West. The Role As our Head of Strategic Asset Investment, you will oversee the collection, planning and reporting of asset data and information within our organisation.This senior-level role will see you maintaining oversight of our asset plans, capturing, analysing and visualising our asset data using our asset grading model to promote informed decision-making.You’ll model annual investment programmes that are cost-effective and support our strategic objectives, as well as developing our asset grading model to enhance strategic thinking around investment decisions. Actively contributing to the delivery of our Asset Management Plan, you’ll engage with stakeholders to continually improve and innovate our strategic asset approach, maximising the portfolio’s success and value. Additionally, you will:- Be the principal contact for the preparation of annual business plans and investment and disposal strategies- Develop a strategic approach to asset appraisal methodology - Co-ordinate all activities to maintain, update and verify the Asset Appraisal Model (AAM)- Lead on the appraisal of non-performing assets- Develop and implement asset and estate quality standards About You To be considered as our Head of Strategic Asset Investment, you will need:- Significant strategic leadership experience in asset management- Experience of operating at a senior level and negotiating with stakeholders - Experience in asset management database management- The ability to inspire, support and develop others to optimise their performance- The ability to produce complex business plan multi-year budgets using data- The ability to analyse business information and formulate metrics that deliver permanent or consolidated progress- To be carbon literate, with knowledge of sound environmental and sustainability practices relating to retrofit- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation- A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experienceThe closing date for this role is 7th July 2024.Interviews will be held on 16th July 2024 in Skypark, Exeter.Other organisations may call this role Head of Housing Programme Management, Head of Housing Projects, Head of Property Maintenance, Head of Facilities, Head of Housing and Community Services, Head of Housing Operations, or Head of Property Services.
