About the Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to become Head of Technical Services for a compliance and environmental services business that has just received significant private equity investment.

With fresh resources and ambitious growth targets, this role offers the chance to shape strategy, lead technical functions, and grow your career as the business scales. You’ll oversee four service lines – Water Hygiene, Occupational Hygiene, Health & Safety, and Fire Services – working closely with directors and department heads to ensure technical excellence, operational efficiency, and commercial growth.

What You’ll Do

Leadership: Oversee department heads across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment, motivation, and accountability.

Strategy: Develop and deliver growth strategies for each service line, aligned with long-term business objectives.

Commercial focus: Contribute to P&L, business development, and client growth initiatives.

Service excellence: Ensure technical compliance, accreditations, and best-in-class service delivery across the UK.

Innovation: Drive improvements in systems, processes, and reporting to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical functions and commercial leadership, fostering a “one company” culture.

What We’re Looking For

Essential: Strong expertise in Water Hygiene / Legionella.

Experience leading technical teams within compliance-driven service environments.

Broad knowledge across multiple service areas (H&S, Fire, Environmental).

Proven commercial acumen – budgets, growth, client development.

An ambitious leader, ready to grow with a private equity-backed business.
