The Role:
Responsible for the overall running of the pastry area
To produce and deliver a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation, production, and presentation
Ensure guest's expectations are exceeded through consistent service and product delivery
Aim to achieve required standards of food service while ensuring that profitability targets are met
Under the direction of the Head Chef, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods, equipment, and fresh food.
Ensure that the section operates effectively daily
Maintain a sufficient mise en place for Afternoon tea / Lunch and Dinner service.
Provide junior members of the kitchen team with support in training and development so that service and product delivery is consistent
Requirements:
2 years experience in a similar role
NVQ Level 2 as a minimum
Worked in a minimum 2rosette standard
Excellent time management skills
Ability to demonstrate good food production
Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen
Confident and positive attitude toward working
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
