An opportunity has arisen for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading FMCG company in the Engineering & Manufacturing department, based in Lanark.

Description

• Implementing and enforcing health and safety policies in the workplace.
• Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
• Providing training and guidance to staff on health and safety procedures.
• Ensuring the company is in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Investigating accidents or incidents and preparing reports.
• Working closely with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to identify possible hazards.
• Advising on various safety-related topics, including hazardous materials, fire safety, etc.
• Coordinating emergency procedures, mine rescues, firefighting and first aid crews.

Profile

A successful Health & Safety Advisor should have:

• Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH.
• Experience working in a similar role within the FMCG/Manufacturing industry.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Strong communication skills to effectively train and advise staff.
