Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to support multiple operational sites across the North of England. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with site management and the central SHEQ team to implement and embed EHS best practice

  • Lead and support the investigation of incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Deliver engaging EHS training sessions and toolbox talks to staff at all levels
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and best practice, ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees regarding EHS concerns or suggestions

  • Proven experience in a similar EHS role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO management systems (45001 & 14001)
  • Confident in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of COSHH, manual handling, noise control, and employee wellbeing monitoring
  • Willingness to travel regularly across regional sites, with occasional travel to the South (Essex)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable organisation with a strong focus on safety, people, and performance. The successful candidate will be given the autonomy to make a real impact, with support from an experienced and collaborative leadership team. For more information, please contact Emily at Pure.
