We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Airdrie. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and passionate health and safety professional who has experience working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture across the site, ensuring compliance with legislation, and supporting operational teams in achieving best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day health and safety guidance and support to all departments.
Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation.
Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to employees and managers.
Support the development and implementation of health and safety initiatives and improvement projects.
Maintain accurate health and safety records, reports, and KPI data.
Assist with internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits.
Work closely with operational teams to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Essential
Previous Health & Safety experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or production environment.
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence and engage people at all levels of the business.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
