This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Health & Safety Co-ordinator to play a vital role in supporting a growing H&S function. Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting operational teams across a variety of environments.

Location : Birkenhead - Wirral - On site parking.

Job Spec:

• Support the delivery and ongoing development of the H&S management system (aligned with ISO 45001).
• Conduct health & safety audits and site inspections, ensuring action plans are followed up and completed.
• Monitor sub-contractor compliance, including safety audits and documentation checks.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and managing RAMS, ensuring they are specific to each task and site.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements across projects and maintenance work.
• Maintain accurate records including accident reports, site inspections, training logs and toolbox talks.
• Support incident investigations, carry out root cause analysis, and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver health & safety inductions and briefings for new starters.
• Liaise with clients and on-site personnel to manage H&S on shared or high-risk sites.
• Contribute to sub-contractor pre-qualification from a safety perspective.
• Stay up to date with H&S legislation and best practices relevant to the industry.
• Promote and embed a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Person spec:

· NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) - Essential

· Previous experience in a similar role within refrigeration, HVAC, FM, or construction

· Solid knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practices

· Familiarity with CDM Regulations and permit systems (e.g., hot works, confined spaces)

· Strong IT skills - especially in Microsoft Office and audit/reporting tools
