Near Cardiff, South Wales Circa £60,000 DOE + Benefits
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-known and highly respected manufacturing business for a Health & Safety & Compliance Manager position based at one of their flagship sites just outside Cardiff.
This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading organisation in a highly influential role where you'll have the autonomy to make a real impact. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll drive improvements across Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance, Sustainability and Risk Management, helping to shape both site strategy and operational performance.
The business is looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, challenge existing processes, strengthen compliance standards and drive a culture of continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to make the role your own while playing a key part in important business decisions and future planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the site's Health & Safety and Compliance agenda. Develop and improve compliance management systems and standards. Drive continuous improvement across HSE, Food Safety and Sustainability. Manage risk registers and support risk mitigation activities. Lead incident investigations and corrective action programmes. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance readiness. Partner with site leadership to improve compliance performance. Support environmental and ESG initiatives aligned to business objectives. Monitor, analyse and report on compliance performance metrics.About You
NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and/or a Food Science related Degree. Previous experience within Health & Safety, Compliance or Food Safety. Knowledge of ISO management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience driving compliance improvements within manufacturing or operational environments. Excellent communication, organisation and project management abilities.Desirable
Food manufacturing experience. IEMA or environmental qualifications. Sustainability and ESG experience. Lead Auditor qualification.Why Apply?
