Lead health and safety activity across traffic management and highways projects, helping teams work safely each day.
Review site arrangements and identify practical actions that reduce health and safety risks.
Carry out site inspections and report findings clearly to support consistent safety standards.
Develop and maintain health and safety procedures for construction activities and site operations.
Work with operational teams to put safe working methods into practice across active projects.
Investigate health and safety incidents, record findings and help prevent similar events from happening again.
Monitor health and safety performance and provide clear updates for relevant stakeholders.
Promote safe behaviours across traffic management and highways work, supporting positive day-to-day practice.Profile

A successful 'Health & Safety Manager' should have:

Experience of managing health and safety within construction-related operations.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements across traffic management and highways activities.
Ability to carry out site inspections and turn findings into clear, practical actions.
Experience of reviewing incidents and producing accurate reports.
Confidence developing and maintaining health and safety procedures.
Ability to work closely with operational teams on safe working practices.

Job Offer

Permanent Health & Safety Manager position based in Tipton region.
Salary of £49,500 to £60,500, dependent on the level of experience.
