Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Autograph Recruitment is delighted to be working with another key player in the food manufacturing industry, committed to delivering high-quality, innovative products to high-profile, well-known customers. We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Pontypool.

The Health & Safety Officer will play a key role in shaping and strengthening the company's health and safety culture. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, experienced professional who is passionate about ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. You will play a key role leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety procedures, promoting a culture of safety across the business.

Responsibilities of H&S Officer:

• Assist in leading risk assessments
• Conduct H&S audits
• Deliver and record training to colleagues
• Maintain a database of essential H&S KPI’s
• Carry out weekly testing of site emergency systems
• Working with the team to solve any issues
• Ensure site complies with all H&S
• Investigating and escalate any concerns in relation to H&S
• Presenting information and data to the team
• Support the H&S Manager with general administrational duties

The Ideal Candidate:

• Desirable but not essential to have a H&S qualification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Previous experience or knowledge of H&S processes within a manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel skills, ability to analyse and present data accurately
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, numerically and written
• Confident and hard working
