About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join a forward-thinking academy in Basildon, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. You will deliver BTEC and A-Level Health & Social Care, supporting learners on both vocational and academic pathways. This role is ideal for someone who can inspire students to understand the importance of health, wellbeing, and social care in society.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Health & Social Care across KS4–KS5.


• Prepare students for BTEC and A-Level qualifications.


• Support coursework, assessments, and practical projects.


• Provide career guidance and mentoring for health-related pathways.


• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.


• Promote the importance of health and social care in wider society.

About You:

• Degree in Health & Social Care or related discipline.


• QTS (PGCE or equivalent).


• Ability to teach vocational and academic qualifications.


• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
