We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Health and Social Care Teacher to join an outstanding school in Leicester, starting in September 2025. This exciting opportunity includes a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) for the right candidate, allowing you to take on leadership responsibilities within the department. The successful applicant will teach Health and Social Care to Key Stage 4 and 5 students in a supportive, well-resourced, and highly successful environment.

• Salary: MPS1 – UPS3 with TLR

What We Are Looking For:

  Experienced Teacher: An experienced Health and Social Care Teacher with the ability to teach at both GCSE and A-Level.

  Leadership Skills: A candidate who can take on a TLR to support the development of the department and contribute to strategic planning.

  Passion for the Subject: A passion for Health and Social Care and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

  Commitment to Excellence: Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards in teaching and student achievement.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Degree in Health and Social Care or a related field


• PGCE or QTS


• Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5


• Leadership experience or potential for a TLR role

Specific Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons to Key Stage 4 and 5 students.


• Take on a TLR to support the department’s development and drive initiatives for improvement.


• Plan, assess, and track student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.


• Create a positive, stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation.


• Develop effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Salary

The salary for this Health and Social Care Teacher position will be paid to scale (MPS/UPS), with a TLR for the right candidate.
