We're delighted to be supporting a well-established international food manufacturing business in the recruitment of an HSE Lead for their Wincanton site. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion, highlighting the company's commitment to developing and progressing its people. The Role for HSE Lead:
* Lead Health, Safety & Environmental activities across the Wincanton site.
* Promote and develop a positive safety culture throughout the business.
* Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
* Conduct audits, inspections and accident investigations.
* Manage risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
* Develop and deliver HSE training across the site.
* Maintain HSE policies, procedures and management systems.
* Lead environmental and sustainability improvement projects.
* Work closely with managers and employees to drive continuous improvement.
* Monitor HSE performance and implement corrective actions where required.
* Support internal and external audits.
The Person for HSE Lead:
* Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or a similar environment.
* Degree qualified in a Health & Safety related discipline.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
* Experience carrying out audits, investigations and risk assessments.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Passionate about driving a positive safety culture.
* IOSH, IEMA or IRM membership would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 would be beneficial.
