Job Description - Health, Safety and Fire Manager

MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Fire Manager for a permanent opportunity based in Central London. This role offers a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 per annum and is based on-site, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Working within a complex multi-site healthcare environment, you'll act as the lead for all health, safety and fire-related matters across operational and clinical settings. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage risk, drive continuous improvement and promote a proactive safety culture that protects staff, visitors and service users.

Responsibilities:

Act as the lead advisor on all health, safety and fire-related matters across the organisation.
Develop, implement and monitor health, safety and fire management systems and controls.
Identify, assess and mitigate health and safety risks across operational and clinical environments.
Conduct audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and best practice.
Lead on fire safety compliance and manage actions arising from fire risk assessments.
Produce health and safety dashboards, reports and annual performance reports.
Coordinate and manage external inspections, audits and regulatory reviews.
Maintain compliance evidence and documentation to support statutory obligations.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Deliver health, safety and fire training to employees and stakeholders.
Work closely with senior management to support business continuity and compliance objectives.
Promote a positive health and safety culture across all sites.
Requirements:

Proven experience working in a Health and Safety Manager position.
Experience operating within a complex, multi-site environment.
Strong knowledge of health, safety and fire legislation and compliance requirements.
Experience carrying out audits, inspections and compliance monitoring activities.
Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
Experience producing management reports, dashboards and performance information.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to develop and deliver health and safety training programmes.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
NEBOSH General Certificate.
NEBOSH Diploma or currently working towards completion
