Job Description - Healthcare Assistant

Healthcare Assistant – Up to £26,500


Our client, a well-established and caring domiciliary care provider, is seeking a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join their growing team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in people’s lives while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The service delivers high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. The team is known for its compassionate approach and commitment to both clients and staff.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll provide essential support to individuals in the community, assisting with daily living tasks and promoting well-being. Whether you're helping with personal care, companionship, or household tasks, you’ll be making a real difference every day.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care (essential)

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential for home visits)

  • Previous experience in a care role

  • A kind, patient, and respectful nature

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their homes

  • Assist with tasks such as washing, dressing, medication, and meal preparation

  • Offer emotional support and companionship to service users

  • Promote independence and respect the individual choices of each person

  • Work closely with families, team members, and managers to ensure consistent, person-centred care

  • Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns appropriately
