Job Description - Healthcare Assistant

Day Shift Healthcare Assistant – £13 per hour | Full-Time or Part-Time


Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care | Nursing, Dementia & Residential Care | No Sponsorship Available

The service offers exceptional nursing, residential, and dementia care within a warm, welcoming environment. Surrounded by landscaped gardens and thoughtfully designed facilities, the home is as much a community as it is a place of care — and the team is proud to make every day meaningful for the people who live there.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care throughout the day. From supporting daily routines to building genuine, caring relationships with residents, you’ll help make each day as comfortable, dignified, and enriching as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for care who wants to make a real difference in the lives of older adults — and be valued for it.

What They’re Looking For

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care

  • Previous experience working in a care setting (essential)

  • A kind, respectful and proactive approach to care

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time day shifts

  • The right to work in the UK (Tier 2 sponsorship not available)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, and day-to-day activities

  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing in all interactions

  • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional health

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and nurses to deliver tailored care

  • Encourage and support engagement in activities and social interaction

  • Keep clear and accurate care documentation

  • Communicate with residents’ families with empathy and professionalism
