Healthcare Assistant | Shawfair Park Hospital | Out-Patients| Permanent – 30 hours a week

Spire Shawfair Park has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatients department.  This role would ideally someone who is very flexible to work ad hoc shift patterns.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Support the nursing team within the Outpatient Department


• Undertake clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse and ECGs


• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection


• Prepare patients for consultations and treatments


• Ensure clinics run efficiently and provide excellent patient care throughout the patient journey


• Maintain accurate patient records and support day-to-day department administration

Who we're looking for:

• SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential


• Must have previous experience working as an HCA in an hospital setting, surgical ward, or clinic experience


• Experience in phlebotomy 


• System literacy is essential; MS Office and SAP is desirable


• Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail
