Healthcare M&A associate/VP

Tasks and responsibilities

• Assist in and lead the execution of transactions, including M&A and private fundraisings
• Support and lead the running and project management of the transaction process
• Create and review financial and valuation models
• Draft and provide input to relevant transaction documents
• Manage submissions / presentations to internal committees
• Assist in the preparation of financial and strategic presentations for clients including marketing pitches
• Contribute to team meetings and discussions including generating marketing & transaction ideas
• Coach and support junior members of the team

Requirements/competencies

The best candidates will have good experience of  M&A transactions, strong project management skills, good communication and team skills and a strongly analytical mindset.  In addition, candidates must have/be:

• 3-8 years of relevant experience from a bank, boutique or accountancy practice
• A good knowledge of M&A and the ability to apply their skills creatively to diverse client needs;
• A minimum of a 2.1 degree or equivalent from a top university
• Demonstrable drive and determination – a self-starter
• Strong numerical, analytical and project management skills
• In depth knowledge of the healthcare sector is not essential
• Sound understanding of accounting and corporate finance
• The ability to synthesize information effectively in order to create persuasive and well-supported client “pitches” and advisory presentations
• The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well as to act as a collaborative team members
• A strong work ethic and good judgment in structuring and organising work, setting priorities and being flexible in responding to changing demands
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
