The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Heat Pump Operations Manager to lead the delivery, quality and continued development of a growing domestic heat pump operation.
This is a senior technical and operational role with responsibility for managing heat pump projects from system design and planning through to installation, commissioning and customer handover.
You will lead a team of engineers, installers and operational coordinators, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required technical and customer-service standards.
The position would suit an experienced Heat Pump Manager, ASHP Manager, Heat Pump Installation Manager, Renewable Heating Manager or Heating Operations Manager.

The company uses a market-leading digital platform to support customers and engineers throughout the installation journey. It is well funded and continuing to invest in its heat pump operation, technical teams and wider renewable-energy services.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the design, planning, installation and commissioning of domestic heat pump systems
* Lead and develop heat pump engineers, installers and operational coordinators
* Provide technical guidance on heat-loss calculations, system sizing, design and performance
* Manage project workloads, installation schedules, budgets and delivery capacity
* Ensure installations comply with building regulations, manufacturer guidance and industry standards
* Monitor installation quality, engineer productivity and customer-service performance
* Work closely with sales, procurement, technical support and customer-service teams to ensure smooth project handovers
* Conduct installation audits, investigate technical issues and introduce process improvements
* Manage escalated customer or installation problems through to resolution
* Monitor operational KPIs and produce clear performance reports
Team Leadership
You will be responsible for creating a positive, supportive and accountable team culture.
This will include setting clear expectations, holding regular one-to-one meetings, providing technical coaching and supporting employee development and wellbeing.
The operation is fast paced, so you must be comfortable making decisions under pressure while maintaining installation quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
You will also work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, building strong relationships and ensuring operational requirements are understood and delivered.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience managing heat pump projects or renewable-heating installations
* Strong technical knowledge of air source heat pump systems
* Experience leading engineers, installers or technical operational teams
* Knowledge of heat pump design, sizing, commissioning and system performance
* Understanding of relevant building regulations and heating-industry standards
* Strong project-management, planning and problem-solving skills
* Experience monitoring installation quality, compliance and customer outcomes
* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Heating or an equivalent trade qualification
Desirable Experience
* Ground source heat pump knowledge
* MCS compliance experience
* Heat-loss calculation or heat pump design software
* CAD or technical drawing experience
* Manufacturer-specific heat pump training
* Health and Safety qualifications
