Contract: Permanent

Hourly Rate: £16.99 per hour

Hours: Monday – Thursday (3:00pm – 11:00pm)

Friday (12pm – 6:00pm)

Due to continued growth I’m currently recruiting for a Heat Treatment Operative to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Heat Treatment Operative you will be responsible for operating counterbalance FLT’s and overhead cranes.

Duties of the Heat Treatment Operative:

* Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers)

* Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment.

* Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop. (All LOLER and associated training will be provided)

* Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLT’s and the cranes.

* Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane

* General cleaning, tidying and removing any unwanted items from the department.

* Support with continuous improvement

* Work as a team to maximise productivity.

* Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company’s H&S Policy.

The successful candidate for the Heat Treatment Operatives position will have the following experience:

* 3 – 5 years’ experience operating Counterbalance FLT’s (Essential)

* Experience working within a foundry (Desirable)

* Operating overhead cranes (Desirable)
