Heavy Fabrication Plater

A well-established structural steel fabricating company is seeking skilled and motivated Heavy Fabrication Platers to join its team in Coatbridge.

Responsibilities as Heavy Fabrication Plater:

• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate metal components
  accurately.
• Using of a range of tools and equipment, including cutting, bending, and welding machinery,
  to shape and assemble materials.
• Ensuring the quality and precision of fabricated components through careful measurement
  and inspection.
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues to optimise production processes and meet project
  deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety
  guidelines at all times.

What we’re looking for in a Heavy Fabrication Plater:

• Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role with expertise in metal fabrication
  techniques.
• Welding 6G, MIG and Mag MMA experience Beneficial
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong practical skills in using fabrication tools and equipment, such as welding machines,
  grinders, and drills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in fabrication and welding (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are advantageous but not essential.
