Contract – Permanent

Working Hours – 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday

Salary - £55,188.68 per annum

The Role:

In this role, you will oversee the successful mobilisation, deployment, and commercial delivery of our heavy maintenance projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop effective internal and external working relationships that deliver all key elements of Heavy Maintenance contracts

• Ensure all work undertaken is in line with customer, technical and legislative standards and specifications

• Recruitment and development of appropriately skilled teams to deliver specific work packages

• Recruitment and development of Project Managers, Engineers and Planners to support projects

• Provision of regular management information and Key Performance Indicators that report of key project deliverables

• Undertake and complete annual Performance Development Reviews with direct reports, in a timely manner

• Support the bid team as required with input to support potential new work opportunities and contracts

• Lead the mobilization for new projects, including development of deliverables such as resource plans, work breakdown structures, tooling requirements, risk register, Bill of Material(s), Specification Review – all in accordance with company Heavy Maintenance Mobilization procedure

• Deliver pro-active customer management identifying and developing possible opportunities on maximizing revenues and cost savings

What You Bring:

• Qualifications – minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering

• Experience – previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities along with project management experience.  

• Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations

• Leadership – previous experience working within a management role.
