We're working with a caring and inclusive nursery school in Southwark that is looking to appoint a Premises Officer from September on an ongoing temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school premises professional who enjoys working independently and takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment where young children can thrive.

The Role

As Premises Officer, you'll be responsible for opening the school each morning and ensuring the site is fully prepared for the day ahead.

Your duties will include:

• Opening the school and carrying out daily site checks

• Completing minor repairs and general maintenance

• Ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and well presented

• Carrying out routine health and safety inspections

• Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with contractors where required

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school site

Previous experience working in a school premises, caretaker, or facilities role is essential.

Contract & Hours

Location: Southwark

Contract: Ongoing temporary

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 11:30am (20 hours per week)
