Job Description - Helpdesk Administrator

MIS Support Consultant
  • Annual Salary: Up to £29,000
  • Location: Wallington, Surrey
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated MIS Support Consultant to join our team. This role involves supporting the effective use of Management Information Systems (MIS) in educational settings, helping schools meet their operational, statutory, and management needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive support to users on MIS systems, including troubleshooting and guidance.
  • Operate the helpdesk and respond to support queries via phone, email, or direct visits.
  • Monitor and identify trends in support issues, proposing solutions to prevent future problems.
  • Assist in training users to enhance their understanding and use of MIS systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy in compliance with educational standards and regulations.
  • Lead on specific modules, offering targeted support and updates to users.
  • Maintain communication with software providers to stay updated on new features and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a support role, preferably within an educational or IT setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users.
  • Confidence in conducting training sessions and presentations.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Office 365.
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to travel to different sites as needed.
