HGV Class 1 Day Driver

Location: Andover
Salary: £36,045.18 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 48 Hours per Week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Bank Holidays: Off

Pyramid Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join a leading logistics company on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with no bank holiday working and the opportunity to boost earnings through optional overtime and overnight stays.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

* Complete scheduled deliveries and collections to customer sites.

* Ensure all loads are transported safely and securely.

* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.

* Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.

* Comply with Drivers' Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive and all road transport legislation.

* Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.

* Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.

The Ideal Candidate MUST Have

* A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence.

* A valid Driver CPC qualification.

* A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

* A minimum of 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.

* A hard-working attitude.

* Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.

* A positive, can-do attitude.

* Be reliable, professional and committed to delivering excellent service.
