M4 Recruitment is currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Drivers to join a dedicated and professional team supporting essential waste and recycling services across Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with the potential to move into permanent employment.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Driver, you will play a key role in keeping the city clean and supporting environmental sustainability. Working as part of a team, your responsibilities will include:

* Safely operating a Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicle

* Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects

* Assisting with the collection of waste and recycling materials

* Loading and unloading recycling boxes and containers

* Pushing and pulling bins weighing up to 25kg

* Using mobile technology to complete operational paperwork and route information

* Providing support to other service areas, including recycling and garden waste collections when required

* Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and customer service at all times

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

✅ A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
✅ CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Good knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations, and road transport legislation
✅ A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work
✅ The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
✅ Good communication and teamwork skills
✅ A reasonable level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift and manoeuvre loads up to 25kg safely
✅ A strong commitment to health and safety
