Strive Staffing Solutions are currently working with a fantastic client in the St Albans area who are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.

🚚 The Role

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring deliveries are completed on time while maintaining excellent standards of safety and customer service.

🔹 Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
🔹 Loading, securing and unloading goods
🔹 Completing pre-journey vehicle checks
🔹 Planning routes and managing delivery schedules
🔹 Completing delivery paperwork and tachograph records
🔹 Liaising professionally with customers and the transport team
🔹 Following all relevant driving, safety and working-time regulations

✅ What We’re Looking For

✔️ Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
✔️ No more than 6 penalty points
✔️ Previous commercial driving experience
✔️ Experience with flatbed or general recycling haulage is highly desirable
✔️ Good knowledge of road safety and load security
✔️ Strong time-management and organisational skills
✔️ Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach

⭐ Long-distance or multi-drop experience is advantageous.
