HGV Class 1 Drivers TRAMPERS

Our client based in Scunthorpe are looking for Class 1 Drivers - TRAMPERS. This role is on a 5 on 2 MONDAY TO FRIDAY and permanent! The work is for retail clients and involves the use of cages.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE.  

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver – TRAMPER you will be a vital part of the Dedicated Fleet team, delivering a high-quality, reliable service to valued customers across the UK.

We want to be transparent from the outset and let you know the position involves a significant physical element, including the loading and unloading of both single deck trailers this can be a large variety of goods. Duties will include, opening and closing curtains, will be removing the side boards, strapping and unstrapping and on the rare occasion may involve having to use a pump truck, there may even be the odd occasion of having to open the roof.

Will need to complete blank CMR’s when there is no paperwork issued with the load.

You should be comfortable with manual handling as part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

What we are looking for

Customer friendly manner and a can do attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
At least one years’ experience
Solid understanding of tachograph rules
No DD or DR offences
No more than 6 points
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
